Word games have always been an enjoyable pastime for me — Scrabble, Boggle, Hangman, Word search puzzles, crosswords, etc. When doing some research online about Scrabble tournaments and clubs in Philadelphia, I stumbled onto an article discussing the highest scorring Scrabble game ever!

Slate Magazine discusses a 2006 Scrabble game in Massachusetts where the word QUIXOTRY was played for 365 points in one turn.  The total score for the game was over 800! It puts my previous best scrabble plays ( AILERONS and CRAZIEST to shame ).

Time for me to learn some more new words!
