Ripoff Alert

While reading a recent post on the Cranky Flier blog about airline rewards programs, I read that United Airlines sells a round trip ticket from Washington Dulles ( which is actually in Virginia ) to Richmond ( which is also in Virginia ) for $907.  I thought this couldn’t possibly be true, so I searched Kayak.com for such a ticket.

Amazingly, there are tickets available at this price!

Amtrak charges a very reasonable $29 or $41 for a trip from Washington, DC to Richmond, VA!
